Delivery & Collection
This page explains how delivery and collection work for skip bins booked through Local Skip Bin Hire. Delivery, collection and waste transport are arranged for you after you book online.
Choosing your delivery date and time
You select your preferred delivery date and a time window during checkout. Available windows are AM (morning) and PM (afternoon). Sundays are not available for delivery or collection. Same-day or next-business-day delivery may be possible in some areas depending on capacity, bin size, waste type and the time of booking, but it is not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed. For urgent requests, call 1300 778 978 during office hours before booking.
Site access
You are responsible for providing safe, clear and legal access for the delivery vehicle. Please make sure driveways, gates and overhead clearances are suitable for a truck, and that the placement area is reachable on the day.
Placement and council permits
You must nominate a suitable placement location on your own property. If the skip bin is to be placed on public land — including a road, footpath or nature strip — approval or a permit may be required from your local council. Obtaining and paying for any council permit is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing. Council requirements and fees vary by location.
Collection and change requests
The bin is collected at the end of the hire period shown on the product page (commonly seven days). If you need to change your delivery date, address, bin size or collection date, contact us as early as possible on 1300 778 978 or at info@localskipbinhire.com. We will do our best to arrange the change, subject to availability; some changes may affect the price.
Failed delivery or collection
If delivery or collection cannot be completed because of unsafe or blocked access, an incorrect or unavailable address, no suitable placement location, or the site being inaccessible on the agreed day, a re-delivery or re-collection fee may apply. Please make sure the site is ready and access is clear for the booked date and window.
Extended hire
If you need the bin for longer than the included hire period, contact us before the scheduled collection date. Extended hire may be available depending on the schedule and may incur additional charges.
Weight allowances and overfilling
Each bin has an included weight allowance shown at booking. Bins must not be filled above the rim (a level load) and must not be overloaded beyond the included weight. Overfilled or overweight bins may not be collected until reduced, and excess weight or contamination may incur additional charges from the provider.
Prohibited and restricted waste
Prohibited items must not be placed in the bin. These commonly include asbestos, liquids, food waste, chemicals, paints, gas bottles, batteries, tyres and other hazardous materials. Restricted items such as mattresses, carpet or tyres may attract a surcharge. Accepted waste types and prohibited items are shown at the time of booking. Prohibited items, contamination or overloading may incur additional charges and are not grounds for a refund of the original booking.

Availability and pricing are matched to the suburb or postcode you enter before reaching the product page. We service major Australian metropolitan areas and selected regional locations. If we cannot service your exact address, we will contact you to arrange an alternative or provide a full refund.
