Skip Bin Permit City of Casey

If your skip is going on a road, footpath, nature strip or parking bay in the City of Casey area, that is council land and the rules below apply. On your own driveway or property, they generally do not. Conditions the council sets

  • You must provide a site plan showing where you will place your bin in relation to the nature strip and the road; the application form has a template which you must complete and submit
  • If the bulk rubbish container cannot be located on the hirer's land, it may be located on the nature strip or other Council land immediately outside the hirer's property
  • Placement on the nature strip or other Council land is for a maximum period of 7 - 10 days
  • You must hold public liability insurance with a minimum of $20 million to receive a permit
  • If you use a contractor with a yearly (accredited operator) permit, you do not need to apply for an additional permit
