Conditions the council sets
- Council's Local Law (Part 7, Clause 7.11) requires a permit to place a bulk waste bin (roadside skip bin) on a road or on Council land, including the nature strip
- The bulk waste bin company is responsible for obtaining the permit
- A permit must be obtained prior to the bin placement
- Permit conditions include restrictions around placement of the skip bin, obstructing or obscuring views, size of the bin, damage caused by the placement of the bin, visibility of the bin, contents of the bin, and responsibilities of permit holders
- Applications are made through Service Victoria and are then provided to Council for processing; the applicant must be a skip bin operator with a valid ABN
