Conditions the council sets

  • "The maximum dimensions of a skip bin are 5m x 1.8m"
  • The bin must be placed "immediately in front of the property" and may occupy no more than one parking space
  • "a three (3) metre wide passageway" must be maintained for vehicle traffic
  • "Only one (1) skip bin may occupy the road reserve at any time" per property frontage
  • To get the free permit the bin must be hired from one of the council's licensed/approved skip bin providers; using a non-participating company requires a separate Application for Road, Footpath and Carpark Occupancy
