Conditions the council sets

  • The fee schedule lists the skip bin application under "Applications made under Section 68 Local Govt Act or Section 125 of Roads Act"
  • The application fee is separate from the weekly placement fee, and is non-refundable
  • Urgent applications — required within 24 hours — pay the higher $296.00 urgency fee instead of the standard $182.00
  • Placement is charged per week or part thereof, banded by bin size (0–6m³, 6–10m³, 10m³ and above)

How to apply

Applications go through Ku-ring-gai Council directly, not through us. Start from the council's fees and charges page or call (02) 9424 0000. Allow more than 24 hours if you want the standard application fee rather than the urgency fee — book the bin for a date that gives the permit time to come through, and have your delivery address and dates ready.

A note on what we can and cannot tell you

We hire skip bins; we do not issue permits and we cannot apply on your behalf. The details above are what Ku-ring-gai Council published at the time we checked, reproduced so you can plan — the council's own page is always the authority.
